In July 2021, Creative Ideas carried out a focus group with teachers and librarians in order to study the state-of-art of intercultural competence development through art in schools. Teachers stressed that introducing pupils to other cultures facilitates creativity and critical thinking, pupils become more open minded and empathic. It also encourages pupils to share their experience, get new knowledge and search for additional information.
Teachers shared their experience in introducing pupils to traditional or contemporary art from other countries to develop their intercultural competence and also gave many useful ideas how to enhance these activities
